Cycle Connection Touring Tales

Weston MO

Ginger and I drove to Weston (near KC) yesterday. Our ride plans got canceled because of the weather. Weston is a cool little town, a little Eureka Springs. They are known for their old brewery, wine making, many shopps and Irish heritage. Every 2nd Saturday is "taste day" and all eateries and pubs offer free tastes.

We ate at a brewery/Irish Pub that dates back to the 1840's and has some amazing masony (arched ceilings, cut stones and etc). The tavern section goes underground 55 feet and had been a storeroom for wooden kegs of ale and were stored there until loaded on riverboats on the Missouri River at Weston Landing before the river moved in a flood in the 1800's.

This would be a cool place to go on a weekend HOG trip. There are town tours offered for a small fee, live music, many B&B's and a cool hotel on Main St. Need to check on what else there is to do, but a  possibility........Cool
