Ask me whats its like to hit the pavement with your head without a helmet. Well I can't tell you, but I can tell you about hiting the pavement with a helmet on. matter of fact I can tell you what was going thru my mind as I was sliding down the road on my head. I thought I was a careful rider. I thought I could never have a bad accident because of this reason. WRONG.

  Riding a Motorcycle takes a lot more work then Driving a car. you have to use both hands and feet at the same time plus you have to be aware of all thats going on around you. so with a little mistake and no luck to go with it you'll find yourself on the ground. for me today was my turn,

  Here's what happen. I was pulling out of a driveway, I looked both ways and then pulled out in the path of a car.  MY MISTAKE. and this is what was going thru my mind as I was boping down the road on my Head. and the reason I can tell you this is I was awake and aware of what just happen. what was going thru my head was how much it was going take to fix my bike. then I was able to take account of any injuries, when I stopped sliding the first thing I did was wiggle my fingers and toes, shake my arms and legs, then got up slowly to see were the pain was and if there was a problem, SORE BUT NO INJURIES, then I took off my Helmet (D.O.T approved) and inspected it. so after seeing the damage I don't think I would of been able to tell you my story if I wasn't wearing it. now let me tell you what I was wearing besides my HELMET. first I took off my gloves so I got some road rash on my hands. I had on a long sleeve shirt (little rash). levi's (no Rash), lace up leather boots. I could wear full leather and had less damage but that is HINDSIGHT. bottom line is I'm OK and I have a brain that still works. and Its your CHOICE if you wear a HELMET. and I'm glad I CHOOSE TO WEAR.
